There are games and then there’s Minecraft.

Minecraft is one of the most iconic titles in video games history. The reason why it is so popular is because it gives a chance to the player to create massive worlds of their own and see it come to life the way they want it to. The sky is the limit for anyone that has the creativity and patience to see their creation to the end. There are immense collection of cities, and real world buildings, as well as popular video games created in Minecraft,  each painstakingly assembled block-by-block as well as the maps created in Minecraft are quite fun to explore. Here are some of the best Minecraft creations we have come across.

Note: Some of the images are 3D renders and screenshots of such high quality can be taken with the help of GLSL graphics mod. List is in random order.

93. Ramparts

100. RampartsEasily one of the most stunning creations in Minecraft, this huge world contains one of the most detailed looking structures. This Minecraft creation is just one of the most stunning build shown off some excellent rendering and shadow effects. The scale of this project is massive and if you observe, nothing has been ignored and almost everything has been given excellent attention.

92. Disneyland

99. DisneylandFor those of you, who didn’t have a chance to visit Disneyland, you can now visit a replica of it in Minecraft.  And though it’s not as great as the real thing, it comes pretty darn close. The building is quite a marvel and is a faithful replica of the famous Disney castle, and yes it comes packed with rides.

91. Altsen upon Brine

98. Altsen upon BrineEmpty space is never an issue in Minecraft and so the sky’s the limit when you are planning on creating some of the most elaborate houses or castles. This creation is a great example of just how exquisite a creation can be, with terrain changes kept to a minimum.

90. Fairfax Castle

97. Fairfax CastleFable fans around the world will be particularly impressed with this piece of art as the castle in the background is based on Fairfax Castle from the game Fable. And Fairfax Castle is the biggest, prettiest and most expensive property in Fable II. So it would come as no surprise when someone decides to replicate this huge castle in Minecraft.

89. City of Adamantis

96. City of AdamantisThis city took about 60 million blocks to make, yes that’s right SIXTY MILLION! And if that were not enough, the creator took 3 months to make it and thought it best to really go all out to create a ridiculously detailed city we have ever laid our eyes on. The creator also made sure that it is decorated with impressive domes and columns.

88. The Island of Dragonstone

95. The Island of DragonstoneI’m just completely floored by the awesomeness of this creation. This is an iconic location set in Game of Thrones and I have to say I wouldn’t mind this piece of art hanging on my wall for all to see. If you notice the area surrounding the island, it is rendered with a particularly attractive and very reflective sea surface which must have taken thousands of blocks to make.

87. Helm’s Deep

94. Helm's Deep

I loved Lord of The Rings the Two Towers, the scale of which the project was created was massive, not to mention creating Helm’s Deep was a task and a challenging one at that. Now you can imagine creating a replica in Minecraft would have taken countless man-hours and blocks, not to mention the lighting added for effect. But at the end this is a spectacular piece of work, is one which is worthy to be called Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings. JRR Tolkien would have been proud.

86. A Beautiful Day in Minecraft

93. A Beautiful Day in Minecraft

Some people make enormous building complete with all the necessities, and some people make battleships that just blow us away. Now every once in a while someone does something awesome and yet it’s simple in structure and design and visually very impressive. The creator here made this simple yet stunning scenery of a Beautiful Day in Minecraft and it is quite spectacular, using just a few blocks and lighting.

85. The Cosmopolitan Skyscraper

92. The Cosmopolitan SkyscraperI got to admit this looks damn impressive and judging by the  fact the building  involves drawing blueprints and as well as trying to figure out which blocks go where. I’m going to guess this must have taken a lot of time and creativity to make. This building comes complete with offices, apartments, and more.  It’s a modern hotel and office building rendered out.

84. Olaan Island

91. Olaan IslandWhen it comes to making an Island in Minecraft, you really have to consider a lot of things, because it’s going to take a lot of planning to even make it  even resemble an island. But thankfully this guy here created an island complete with a lot of fun things on the island such as a boats, roller coasters and a lot more.

83. World of Keralis

90. World of KeralisCreating an entire city is no easy task and in fact it is time consuming and a huge headache. However when it’s done, it becomes a work of art and you can’t help but feel in awe of the creation. This city has all the necessities, such as airports, harbors including several realistically created buildings, villas, warehouses, which you can observe in the distance.

82. Game of Thrones- The Wall

89. Game of Thrones- The Wall

This is another fantastic creation made by a die-hard Game of Thrones fan. Here we have the Wall, a massive cliff of ice and snow that stretches across an entire landscape. It is quite a laborious task, but at the same time I love the sheer detail that was put into making this tribute to the series.

81. Earth

88. Earth

Now of course this model isn’t to scale, but the purpose of the creator was to showcase the entire Earth and it’s countries. This Earth developed in Minecraft is very damn impressive indeed. This is another project that was created in a public forum, and a lot of people have been quite taken aback by the whole size and the time it took to create this massive object. Not to mention creating individual colored blocks for creating the shapes of the countries.

80. Santiago Bernabeu

87. Santiago Bernabeu

For those of you who are die hard football fans, you will recognize this stadium and all that it stands for. When you actually enter in the stadium, you almost feel like you’re actually there. It looks like a painstaking task to create all those seats in the same color, but when you actually step back and explore and look at it, the whole stadium is something to be admired.

79. Playable Guitar

86. Playable Guitar

This is quite an achievement in Minecraft, because it is one thing to create a structure, but quite another thing to make it actually function. This musical genius created a working guitar in which you can step on individual pressure pads to change the chords that are playing, almost instantaneously. There are 10 open chords available and it is quite an insane design.

78. Middle Earth

84. Middle Earth

For those of you who are Lord of the Rings fans will be impressed with this piece of art. The whole scale of the world of the Kingdom of Rohan took HOURS to walk across it. This map does include the whole of Middle Earth, which includes the Prancing Pony, Rivendell and the Mines of Moria. Each of those locations are quite distant from each other.

77. Colosseum

86. Colosseum

You can hardly find someone who hates this picture, because it is truly quite impressive and magnificent. Now it’s not the most extravagant building I’ve ever seen, but the logistics of getting so many blocks to form this wonder of the world is something to be awed at.  This is quite a close replica and the creator made this all possible by following a lot of plans and photos to try to make it as similar as possible to the original Colosseum.

76. Marriage Proposal

83. Marriage Proposal

Being a romantic myself I was really awed by this development, namely because it is quite a unique and nerdy way to propose to someone you love. And also it is an unquestionably inspired, and unexpected use of Minecraft. Who says video games are a bad influence? It seems everything has its usefulness in changing someone’s life forever.

75. Titanic

82. Titanic

There are a lot of Titanics in Minecraft out there, but this one is rather spectacular. Namely because it  contains some of the most lavishly detailed, and mostly to scale, exterior, as well as a part of the ‘great staircase’ which was showcased in the film. This creator made sure he got everything down to perfection when he had this in mind. And the best part is that this one is for keeps and will not sink.

74. Aetheriam

80. Aetheriam

One of the most breathtaking pictures I have ever laid my eyes on. The recreation of Aetheriam complete with lighting and rendering is absolutely gorgeous. No doubt this is one of the top 5  best creations made in Minecraft and the weeping willow is a great touch and it reminds me of the Avatar world.

73. GlaDOS

79. GlaDOS

GlaDOS is one of my favorite characters in Portal. She is quite the funny companion in a dark kind of way and she has a way of showing you her love in the game. Creating GlaDOS can never be easy and especially in Minecraft, because GlaDOS has a lot of parts and intricacies which make her who she is. However this creator certainly does a great job of coming close to capture GlaDOS. This picture must have at least hundreds if not thousands of blocks and an insane amount of man hours put into it.

72. Battleship

78. Battleship

A Battleship is a sight to behold as it is represents the Navy and all that it stands for. To recreate this work of art, requires some real talent and determination, and this guy clearly has it. The Battleship is quite accurate from the looks of it and it is a very fine imitation of the real thing. I especially like the lighting and the water texture to really capture the feel of the battleship.

71. The Empire State Building

77. The Empire State Building

The Empire State Building in New York is one of the most iconic buildings in the world, and we have probably seen it many times before in movies and pictures. However, this one is probably the most accurate and detailed replica of the famous 1930’s skyscraper in Minecraft. A very impressive work of art.

70. The Riksdagshuset

It is life imitating art and it is a damn fine imitation. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, here is a little info on the building. The House known as the Riksdagshuset is the seat of the Parliament in Sweden. The creator has gone to great lengths to fashion the exterior as well as the interior and it is pretty impressive.

69. Interstate

Ever had to drive long hours through the interstate passing some gorgeous scenery and all the while listening to some great music? Well here is a very impressive creation of an interstate where the creator just takes you for a tour of his creation and it is pretty awesome. It seems like the road and the scenes he created must have been mind numbingly hard to make, but he makes the ride go so fast, we just catch a glimpse of it and it is needless to say that it is awesome.

68. Star Trek – The Enterprise

74. Star Trek - The Enterprise

Being a Star Trek fan I always wanted one of the Enterprise model ships for my collection and I wanted one so detailed that I could poke around in every corner. This is a scale model of the Enterprise and it is damn impressive and jaw dropping.  This Enterprise has a deck which is 4 meters each and even though there are 42 decks on the enterprise, the 2nd deck is split into two half-decks, making it actually 43. I love the framework of the ship and the perspective of the camera, which makes you feel like you are really in the Star Trek universe.

67. New York

73. New York

New York is the world’s most famous and iconic city. The city here is almost perfect and well crafted to every detail. The Chrysler building, Hearst tower and other notable buildings can be found in this map. The lighting and the the lens flare really make it seem like the city we know and love to explore in the Minecraft world and like every work of art  this was built and crafted down to the intricate details.

66. The Winter Palace

71. The Winter Palace

I cannot believe that this piece of art hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves. It’s truly one of the most epic builds that I ever seen, every nook and cranny of the building has been finely detailed to precision. It is quite impressive how the creator managed to put in the effort to take care of every minute detail and I’m sure that he must have examined the photos with extreme attention to capture this model.

65. Sonic the Hedgehog

Ever wondered what the game would look like in 3D, well here is your chance as the creator went all out in recreating the iconic game in Minecraft. And if that were not enough you can play this custom mini-game, complete with a digital stopwatch, checkpoints, power-ups and spring-loaded pressure plates.

64. Plane Crash

68. Plane Crash

This would be like the Minecraft version of The Lost (if they ever decided to recreate the series in Minecraft that would be cool). The absolute attention to detail is quite mind boggling as there must be thousand of thousands of blocks in the creation of this plane.  The forest and the several details within the plane gives it a morbid feel to it.

63. Battlestar Galatica

66. Battlestar Galatica

For all the geeks, and jocks who are secretly geeks, you will find this piece of art particularly amazing as it took a lot and I mean a lot of work to really create this ship. With between 5 million+ blocks and counting, it features a hanger deck, working lifts, control rooms and a drive core, among other interior spaces. Quite a feat indeed.

62. Pony Pixel Art

65. Pony Pixel ArtThis may not look like much, but let me tell you that an incredible amount of work has gone into creating this amazing piece of art. This creation took anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 blocks to create this to detail, not to mention the different colored blocks to create the pony and the circle and actually manually putting the different colored block in their place just so that the creation will have that effect that you see.

61. Babylonian City

64. Babylonian City

If you played Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones you would get a pretty neat idea of what the Babylonians were capable of in terms of architecture, one of the gardens itself was known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The developer of this city recreates the height of Babylonian architecture in the setting desert sun, which makes it so appealing and magnificent.

60. Dwarven Ruins

63. Dwarven Ruins

The Dwarves have been known to create some excellent architecture and the one from the Lord of The Rings would have been proud to see this creation. This ruin  is quite incredibly detailed and though there is isn’t much lighting or textures to it, it still does manage to speak volumes.

59. Minas Tirith

Minas Tirith was an engineering marvel and easily one of the most beautiful places in Lord of The Rings and I always wondered what it would be like to really go and explore the ins and outs of the massive city. This fan of the series committed himself to really make a great visual representation of the town and he did a great job. Of course this rendering makes it look all shiny and awesome.

58. Inside a Computer

61. Inside a Computer

Ever curious about what goes on inside a computer? Well a few creators decided to recreate the entire working structure of a computer for your perusal. It may not look like much, but it is actually brilliant if you think about it, as this Minecraft creation can do simple math. This one can load 16 lines of code into RAM (memory), perform division and other functions.

57. Galleon

60. Galleon

After playing Assassins Creed 4, I had a taste for boats and ships and felt the urge to own one myself. This picture really reminded me of the Jackdaw and the crew. Of course the Galleon was a part of history and a it was a large, multi-decked sailing ship used primarily by European states.

56. Minecraft City Building Project

image: http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/59.-Minecraft-City-Building-Project.jpg

59. Minecraft City Building ProjectThis has got to be the most awesome image and model of a modern city that has ever been created in Minecraft. The visuals and buildings are just jaw dropping. The creators of this Minecraft creation constructed this beautiful city replete with roadways, traffic lights, interiors and green spaces which can be explored.

55. The Bedrock Dome

58. bedrock-dome

What happens when two players are committed to creating the biggest hole in Minecraft history? They get the attention of the millions from the Minecraft community. Two players started digging an enormous hole down to the bottom [which is pretty darn deep] and after that they sealed it up using a giant glass dome, with each and every block painstakingly mined and processed.

54. Space Shuttle

57. Space Shuttle

Being a former 3D designer I found it hard to recreate complex models, but when I looked at this recreation of a space shuttle I was floored. The detail to the model is quite astounding and gorgeous. I think the boys at Houston would have no problem in having this picture framed and hanged on their walls. A fine ode to space exploration indeed.

53. King’s Landing (Game of Thrones)

56. King's Landing (Game of Throne)

There are many Game of Throne Fan boys and girls who will stop at nothing to spend countless hours recreating their favorite worlds and let me tell you my jaw dropped to the ground when I feasted my eyes on this. This is an amazing tribute to the Kings landing and it is ridiculously detailed. The model contains over 3000 buildings.

52. Star Trek Voyager

image: http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/54.-Star-Trek-Voyager.jpg

54. Star Trek VoyagerPeople can accomplish some crazy things in Minecraft, I mean I never thought for the life of me that someone can pull of this creation but they did and I’m floored.  Everything from the original deck plans is re-sized to scale, and each deck is layered . And yes, the model does include massive shuttle bays, bright warp cores are all included.

51. Man of Steel

The Man of Steel movie was a visually production movie, though the story was not all great, but it did have some great eye candy locations. This location was painstakingly created to the minute detail as everything from the explosive action scenes to Superman himself were recreated using blocks from the sandbox construction game. It is a great creation and ode to the film and kudos to the creators.

50. Game of Thrones

The Game of Thrones created in Minecraft is quite a visually amazing feat. Let me tell you creating this massive world is quite an achievement, because it is huge and though most of the world’s size is empty space; it is still quite well made and it reportedly takes over an hour of real-time to walk from across from the lands of Winterfell.

49. Metal Gear Solid

This playable adventure map that follows the Metal Gear Solid story brings back memories for hardcore fans. In addition to that, if the player wants to explore, the game offers you the opportunity to do so to your heart’s content, basically if you can see it, you can go there. The island is complete with amazing textures and locations, and the players are not limited by the number of linear paths they can take.

48. Dragon’s Liar

Dragon’s Lair is a game that became popular and legendary. It is currently one of only three video games that is kept in a storage at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C, the other two being  Pong and Pac-Man.  The Minecraft version looks quite appealing and challenging, but it is also a ton of fun and brings us back to a more nostalgic period of our times.

47. Pong

For those of you who are not aware, Pong was one of the earliest arcade video games and it was quite popular. The Minecraft version of Pong works pretty well,  and it also has the paddle controlling  the ball . The game is quite simple and it is a pleasure to play it in a 3D world.

46. Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings games were not all that great, but some fans decided to create the Minecraft version anyways and it turned out to be quite good.  The Minecraft version adds the world of Middle-earth into the game. This will include content from J.R.R.Tolkien’s work, and eventually other related tales such as the Hobbit. There are hundreds of new blocks, spiders, tools, foods and items as well as people and races from the Lord of the Rings universe.

45. Left4Dead

This guy created one of the best Minecraft mod of Left4Dead and in all honesty it has a  spectacular name: Mine 4 Dead: Blockhawk Down. It is a full Left 4 Dead campaign complete with zombies, safe houses and 4-player coop. The creator who made this world brings even more terror to the Minecraft mod with custom textures and sounds to the massive zombie-killing survival game.

44. Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 in Minecraft looks really nice and it is pretty accurate the way they created the locations, because once you start exploring you really get the feeling that you are in a tropical beach. The creator of the mod has included weapons, tools and environments which are somewhat similar to the game. The map also features key characters, including Vaas, Jason and Citra, all completely redesigned in classic Minecraft-style.

43. Myst

Myst recreated in Minecraft is quite a task, as it is just not easy to recreate the epic game. Mystcraft as the mod calls itself, will transport the player to a wide range of new worlds and dimensions .  Even better yet it allows you to create a set of link books that connect to different worlds. The game does indeed pay homage to one of the most important games in PC history.

42. The Amazing Spiderman

The Spiderman man mod is quite fantastic as the it gives you some special abilities like jumping really high as well as shooting web balls from your hand.  The game also includes the classic web slinging and it is tons of fun just swinging around the Minecraft world like Spidey.  The web balls you shoot out from your hand can also be used to trap enemies in the game. Talk about creativity!

41. Wolfenstein

If you were to ask any PC gamer over the age of 30 what title helped them to really get into gaming with the first person shooter genre, most of them would immediately respond with the 1992 shooter Wolfenstein. It is only natural that someone would attempt to recreate the Wolfenstein gameplay experience inside of Minecraft. The creator has included the sights and sounds that will be familiar to any Wolfenstein game. The background music alone will have you inspired and ready to ambush corners for mutant Nazi soldiers looking to capture and kill you.

40. Duke Nukem

Duke Nukem was my first FPS game that I fell in love with; it was gripping in a sleazy sort of way. The Minecraft edition of the game comes with the music, sounds and even the voice of Duke. This mod is best for people who are familiar with Duke Nukem 3D, but those who aren’t familiar with it can still enjoy it as a modern-day L.A. mod.

39. Call of Duty Zombies

This map is a recreation of Call of Duty with zombies. This game has rounds, and each of them consists of a certain amount of gameplay set in night time where you will fight hordes of zombies, after which you will have 30 seconds of daylight in which you can reload and stock up on ammo. It is an interesting recreation and has tons of stuff to do.

38. Doom

One of the classic games returns in Minecraft form. The game has some awesome levels, filled with some of the classic enemies and weapons. I got to admit the Minecraft version looks fantastic with some free-flowing lava, as well as enemies throwing projectiles at you. It is a fantastic recreation of Doom and it really does add a sense of nostalgia.

37. Resident Evil 4

This Minecraft version includes new items, armor and brand new horrific mobs to bring back those haunting memories of playing Resident Evil. This mod is great for Resident Evil fans and map makers or even people looking to create custom maps with new creepy zombie mobs. The melee weapons in the game are stronger, and some of the new weapons includes the chainsaw which is very powerful.

36. Half Life 2

The Half Life 2 Minecraft mod is fantastic as many of the props, levels and characters remind you of why the original was a legendary game. With me being a Half Life 2 fan as with the other million gamers around the world, I really enjoyed and had a blast seeing City 17 being re-created in Minecraft. It was also great seeing some familiar locations, which made it quite entertaining93 Awesome Minecraft Creations.

35. Gears of War

I got to admit, the Gears of War Minecraft map was created quite well. As you roam around the area, you will find it reminiscent to the several levels in the game. The visual comparison in this video shows how the creator made the level and if you add a texture pack, it would become even better with the game’s characters and levels.

34. Splinter Cell Double Agent Co-op Map

Splinter Cell Double Agent Co-op mode is quite fun in Minecraft. This map was made without any mods, so it is actually quite well done if you think about it. The Minecraft version is simplistic but yet it does remind you a little bit about Splinter Cell. Missions like Iceland, as well as classic features like stealth are present in the game.

33. Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat is a timeless classic fighting game, and the Minecraft recreation was fun and all, but sometimes it was just too funny. It is a great pleasure to see your favorite characters in their Minecraft version and it is also fun to see them failing their arms around when they are fighting. As the game goes, you can pick your character and they have their signature moves and yes, Scorpions “get over here” shout is a worthy addition.

32. Portal 2

One of Valve’s most treasured games is recreated in this mod. There are lots of familiar functions in the game that will make you feel right at home. The gels are present and will enable players to create both a repulsion and propulsion. When placed in the right location, the propulsion gel can make traversing a long mine shaft look like a breeze. Overall the mod can also simply be used for all kinds of silly antics.

31. Bomberman

All of us remember the timeless classic game known as Bomberman and how many hours were wasted just playing the damn game. Though this Minecraft map isn’t quite as thorough or intricate as the actual game, however it is a cool take on the series. You have to blow up blocks of sand and avoid zombies in an effort to find the red stone torch.

30. Plants vs Zombies

Minecraft inspires some really awesome creativity, and sometimes that leads people to remake their favorite games within the confines of the boxy world. So with the Plants vs. Zombies map, you get the whole deal complete with flowers that fire arrows at waves of zombies. The objective is to kill enough zombies, gather up the money they drop, investing it in upgraded flowers and TNT landmines.

29. Starcraft 2

Ok so this game isn’t exactly like the original where you command battalions and make barracks, but hey it is Minecraft and it is still a great effort to recreate the Starcraft 2 universe and give it that feel. You can tell right off the bat that the game is quite well created. Zerg will just pounce on you the moment you enter their line of sight.

28. Call of Duty

The recreation of the FPS was made quite well as it actually makes you feel like you are part of a team. You don’t know when or from where your enemies will target you. Explosions are imminent in every place. The game portrays Call of Duty very well and there will be enemies who will try to flank you from almost any place and you have to think your way to beat them, rather than just go in guns blazing.

27. The Last of Us

The Last of Us Minecraft version was made pretty well and although there are other versions of it this particular version stands out. The game has some pretty interesting objectives and it does add a sense of a challenge. There are lots of surprises that are lurking around each corner and overall it is a fun map to play. I also love the addition of a decent soundtrack which gives a unexpected and strange feel to the game.

26. Batman Arkham Asylum

Batman Arkham Asylum was a pretty great game and the creators of this Minecraft version built it almost exactly like the original. Along with having its own texture pack that mimics in-game characters and atmosphere, it does play along the same way that the game does. You will find familiar faces as well as Riddler Trophies and collectibles; gadgets like the grapple hook, batarang, and explosive gel along with villain boss battles.

25. Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider is created quite well in Minecraft with locations that include Midas and the City of Vilacabamba and much more. Of course the map comes with a few modifications like re-spawning with automatic checkpoints as well as unlockable levels.  As with all Tomb Raider games, this one comes with its own puzzles and traps.

24. Half Life

Half Life has always been one of my favorite games I have ever played, so imagine my joy when they created the game in Minecraft. I wasn’t disappointed, as everything was created to the T. The soundtrack, voices and even the damn footsteps were created using awesome precision. I loved every moment of this awesome recreation of Half Life. Hats off to the fan who developed this version.

23. Dead Space

Dead Space is no doubt one of the creepiest games to ever grace the gaming screens. The creators here put some fine work into recreating Dead Space as the textures look like they had a lot of work put into them and it has a sense of creepiness along with lighting and the whole atmosphere being quite similar to the actual games.

22. Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 was creepy as hell, but when you watch it recreated in Minecraft it’s quite lovely and it does add a sense of art style. The Silent Hill 2 Minecraft version comes complete with voice acting, cinematics and monsters that have been re-textured to make them more nightmarish. The game includes some pretty awesome sound effects  in Silent Hill Minecraft. That’s some fine attention to detail right there.

21. World of Warcraft

The World of Warcraft is huge and creating one will require tons and tons of man hours. Luckily one man was up to the job of creating the world of Northrend inside Minecraft. The replica spans over 500 square kilometers and is constructed of over 100 billion blocks. Wow! That is an insane number blocks and I can’t even think about the number of hours the guy put into this.

20. Pokémon

I’m really not a fan of the Pokémon series or the game, but there are people who have made the Minecraft version into a pretty good one. Mainly because for many gamers, titles like Pokémon Red and Blue are the most memorable and important. It’s hard not to be overwhelmed when you watch some pretty talented people recreate one of the most famous games.

19. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

The events of Ocarina of Time are set in the fictional kingdom of Hyrule, the setting of most Zelda games. There are many people who are recreating the game in Minecraft and while many of them are successful, some can’t finish the map, because the scale is just too big for them.  Zelda for Minecraft features a more structured gameplay. You have to move through the game collecting items, build up your character’s inventory, fight enemies and solve puzzles.

18. Mass Effect

Mass Effect is one the best sci-fi games you can play, with that in mind, it must be incredibly hard to recreate the epic saga, but these guys do it just fine. In addition there is also the officially sanctioned one from Bioware known as the  Mass Effect Mash Up Pack. The map will have familiar faces like the Illusive Man, Liara and James Vega. Expect some great gameplay.

17. Super Mario 64

Super Mario 64 recreated in Minecraft is a great idea and it’s tons of fun to play with. Mario is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time. With recognizable music, you might enjoy this well created and detailed reconstruction in a more accessible 3D environment which might make you nostalgic for the old games that you might have grown up with.

16. Star Wars

The Star wars movies except for Episode 1 to 3 were quite legendary, and some of the games like Battlefront, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic were the best games ever. Now Minecraft has taken over Star Wars Universe and made it accessible for us to play. The Star Wars Mod adds in a whole bunch of stuff like blasters, new crystals, real and fake holocrons. But that’s not all as it adds in two different types of light sabers. Regular, one-sided light sabers, and cool double-sided light sabers. So awesome.

15. Fallout

Recreating Fallout especially in Minecraft is never easy. Fallout Minecraft is about the story of a man who wakes up and has no memory of who he is and is based about finding out who you really are. The map comes with a lot of crazy challenges like going through heavily guarded tunnels and much more.

14. Mirror’s Edge

The Mirror’s Edge version of Minecraft puts you in a city called ”Minecraft’s edge” and you are a runner. The objective of the game is to deliver packages from the one person to the other, but the company called ”Skully Jewellery” steals your package. The game is not too hard and the attention to detail and the color theme fits the game perfectly.

13. Faster than Light

Faster than Light meets Minecraft and boy is it awesome. Faster than Light just woke up the kid inside me, it is a hard game, but it has everything you could want in a game: crew members, aliens, robots, spacecrafts,  upgrades and unlockables. It’s a fun game to play, if you are looking for a challenge Minecraft style.
