Comic book legend Stan Lee died on Monday at the age of 95, and his fans, friends and colleagues took to social media to commemorate the iconic Marvel comics creator.
Among those who spoke out were some of Marvel's biggest stars, including “Captain America” star Chris Evans, “Iron Man” front man Robert Downey Jr. and “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor Chris Pratt.
Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine in the “X-Men” franchise, and “Guardians of the Galaxy” stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana also sent their appreciation.
“We’ve lost a creative genius,” wrote Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine in the “X-Men” franchise. “I’m proud to have been a small part of his legacy and …. To have helped bring one of his characters to life.”

Jackman also praised Lee during an appearance on “The Late Show” Monday night.
“I remember Stan as a true gentleman who had this glint in his eye,” he said. “He's creative genius. He thought outside of the box. He created a whole universe that changed the lives of many people – mine included.”
Jackman also shared how the superhero creator made him feel quite humble.
The actor thought venturing to Comic-Con as Wolverine would be “a good day for me.” One would think, but as Jackman revealed: “No one was taking my photo because at the other end was Stan Lee. And there (were) about 300 photographers and interviewers, just all on Stan.”
“Stan, God bless you,” he said, raising his hands to the sky. “You're one of the greats.”
Before his guest joined him, Colbert paid tribute to “Stan the man.”
“Thanks for all the stories, Stan,” he said looking into the camera. “I know you're hearing this a lot today, but Excelsior.”
