I don’t know about you, but here in the Mystical Glade there are two things we love dearly. Legos, and Minecraft. And now there’s two great tastes, together!

Do you see those Minecraft Lego sets?! One of those is a set of The End, which is so freaking terrifying that I’ve never actually been to it in the actual game. No, seriously, anything having to do with that many Endermen has me running away and yelling “NOPE NOPE NOPE!”

The thing I’m curious about, however, is who this is supposed to appeal to. In many ways, Minecraft already is Legos in video game form. That being the case, the people who are most likely to buy these (people who play Minecraft) are also the same people who don’t need them (because they play Minecraft). If you want to build a fantastic house or entertaining scene out of blocks, you can just do it in Minecraft proper. There’s no need to build it out of Legos.

Oh, who am I kidding? I’m going to be buying each and every one of these Minecraft Lego sets, putting them together, and setting them on my work desk so that I can pretend I’m working. Really, I’ll just playing with toys. Which is totally unlike my every normal day. We’ll all be able to find them in November, just in time for the holidays. In the meantime, we’ll have to make due with the Micro World sets.
